Quote I’m pondering —
“After tragedies, one has to invent a new world, knit it or embroider, make it up. It’s not gonna be given to you because you deserve it; it doesn’t work that way. You have to imagine something that doesn’t exist and dig a cave into the future and demand space. It’s a territorial hope affair. At the time, that digging is utopian, but in the future, it will become your reality.”
We can’t help but for now on, we will see things as PRE-COVID and POST-COVID.
The question is how do we build and create a new world?
Do we continue to build a bubble of intense sanitization where there are no more birthday parties, or pool days with the neighbors?
Do we stop sharing our tools because we have fear of disease?
One thing I believe that should be prioritized is our health.
What if we took 1 trillion dollars from the government to increase overall health markers for the general population through diet, exercise, and stress management?
Could we increase immunity and prevent further disease for A LOT of people?
Chronic disease is a rampant part of our society. Imagine a reality where we could allow Health Coaches, Healthcare workers, and teachers to work with people to educate on diet and exercise, and give people the daily accountability needed to practice a healthy lifestyle.
There could be daily or weekly check-ins with a coach. “Hey John, how was your walk this morning? What’s for breakfast? How can I help you?
We could all use a little stress management practice on the daily. We could take time out of our day to breathe and recharge with a coach or mindfulness teacher.
If I use my shovel to dig a future I would educate and instill healthy habits for my family and close network, and then build an oasis of health inside the gym. It starts with me. You. Be THE example of health, and happiness.
